Brad Paisley Fights HARD Against Proposed AI Data Center Being Built Next To Nashville Zoo: 'Absolute Nightmare'

Uh oh! Brad Paisley is making it crystal clear that he is NOT happy about a controversial development proposal in Nashville — and he’s using his celebrity platform to rally the troops!

The country music superstar has entered the growing battle over a planned artificial intelligence (AI) data center that could be built near the Nashville Zoo, and he is not holding back. In a passionate message shared with fans, via TMZ on Monday, Brad blasted the project and warned that it could dramatically change the character of the surrounding area if it moves forward.

According to reports via TMZ and others this week, plans have been submitted that would clear existing structures to make room for a massive 69,000-square-foot AI data center facility. The proposal has sparked concern among community members, especially because of its proximity to the aforementioned zoo. Critics argue the project could have a significant impact on the visitor experience and even affect animals housed nearby, including leopards located very close to the proposed site.

And Brad, for his part, sounds absolutely fired up about the possibility. In a message to fans about it, the country crooner called it an “absolute nightmare” and said:

“It doesn’t belong there. It would be an enormous monstrosity, an absolute eyesore, and detract in every way, for not only that zoo, but also that area.”

Tell us how you really feel, Brad!

The singer urged supporters to pay attention to what is happening as this proposed project moves forward. And now, his comments have quickly added even more visibility to a fight that was already gaining momentum long before he stepped into the spotlight.

In fact, opposition to the project appears to be growing at a rapid pace. A petition challenging the development has already collected more than 311,000 signatures, showing just how strongly many people feel about the issue. Among those lending their support is environmental activist Erin Brockovich, whose life story famously inspired the iconic Hollywood film starring Julia Roberts.

Wow!

With a high-profile celebrity, a well-known activist, and hundreds of thousands of petition supporters now aligned against the proposal, the pressure on developers is only increasing. Whether that public resistance will be enough to stop construction remains to be seen, of course.

For its part, DC BLOX, the Atlanta-based company behind the proposed facility, says it is listening to concerns from the community, and adding:

“[DC BLOX] has heard and appreciates the concerns that have been raised about our newly proposed data center in Nashville near the zoo … we look forward to discussing with community leaders how our project can responsibly address the concerns expressed about the Nashville project.”

Hmmm…

One thing is certain: this debate may be far from over.

And another is certain, too: living near a data center can be a real drag! Don’t believe us, tho? Ch-ch-check out some absolutely WILD TikTok vids about this exact topic (below):
