Pamela Anderson is not here for your AI-generated fantasies, thank you very much!
The blonde bombshell turned natural beauty queen is making a loud, unapologetic statement in the fashion world, and honestly, it’s so on-brand it’s perfect!!!
The 58-year-old icon teamed up with Aerie on Thursday for a bold new campaign that tells artificial intelligence to take several seats. And in true Pamela fashion, she’s doing it barefaced, un-retouched, and completely unbothered!

Yes, the same woman who already shook the industry by going makeup-free at Paris Fashion Week is now doubling down on keeping it real.
In the campaign video that first debuted across Instagram and other social media outlets early on Thursday morning, Pamela literally tries to get AI to create something authentic, and — spoiler alert — it fails miserably. At one point, she feeds the system a series of prompts that sound simple enough but somehow still leave the tech scrambling:
“Generate a female model. … Make her happier, more joyful. … Add two more models. They should all look unique. … Make them feel real.”
And guess what? It can’t quite get there. Because, as Pamela proves when the scene shifts to an actual photoshoot filled with real women laughing and connecting, authenticity just can’t be manufactured. As she perfectly puts it, you can’t ‘prompt’ that!!
Speaking to Vogue Business, Pamela didn’t hold back about why this campaign and the bigger issues around it all matter so much right now:
“I thought it was a clever way to draw attention to [AI images] because it’s very worrisome. To me, as a woman, as a consumer, as a mother, I always think, what is happening? What is the difference between AI and real? How are we supposed to know? It was already disheartening at times to look at fashion magazines and see celebrities and models with retouching, but this is another level.”
And honestly, she’s not wrong. With major fashion houses and retailers increasingly leaning into AI visuals, the line between real and fake is getting blurrier by the second. But Pamela? She’s drawing a hard line in the sand.
She doubled down on that vibe in an interview with People, saying:
“Nothing can replace human beings. Unless AI wants to start becoming imperfect like human beings, it’ll never have the romance of a performance that’s soulful and fearless. There’s just no way to mimic that because we’re all so different.”
Mic drop!
Of course, Pamela isn’t just fighting the AI takeover — she’s also still chasing her own creative evolution. Despite decades in the spotlight, she says she’s still got something to prove, which is kind of shocking and refreshing all at once.

She also spoke to People about what she sees as her near-term future in Hollywood, and the film industry specifically, explaining:
“I still feel like I’m kind of scratching my way in there. I feel like I’m in the fight. I’ve still got to prove myself, and that’s kind of a good place to be. I have no expectations and I’m not taking this kind of second whirl around for granted.”
And she’s not looking for shortcuts either, as she added:
“I really want to work hard and see what I’m made of. I don’t want to take the easy route. I don’t want to be driven by money or ease of anything. I want to take on very challenging roles and just keep on working with people that want to work with me. I’ve got to ride this wave. I don’t know where it’s going to end up, but every day something new comes up and I think, ‘What do I feel in my gut?'”
Love it!
