We guess it really is water under the bridge for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston!
It’s hard not to feel instantly transported back to 2005 whenever we hear those two names together, right? When this former Hollywood super couple famously ended their marriage over a decade ago, it sent shockwaves through the industry that are still felt (and written about) today.
Despite years of rumors, salacious headlines, and real marital drama between them, recent reports claim things couldn’t be going better for the amicable exes right now!

According to the latest from Us Weekly, the 50-year-old Friends alum and 56-year-old Oscar winner are on really good terms! You know, the kind of terms where you don’t wince every time you bump into each other?
The outlet’s source dished:
“They’ve always cared about each other, and they think fondly of their time together. For Jen, seeing Brad is like seeing a dear old friend again. They have a real bond.“
Nice!
One could almost count this as its own success story — especially when you stop and consider how the pair’s painful split and other contentious celebrity breakups have played out in the public eye.
We mean, Brad and Jen certainly used to fall under the “OTP” category and the road to their current dynamic wasn’t an easy one. The insider recalled how Aniston (and the rest of the world) thought Pitt “was her soulmate” before their five-year marriage ended.
As our readers know, the Ad Astra star famously moved on from his failed union before the ink had even dried with his now ex-wife, Angelina Jolie. The old rumors have it the two fell for each other while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which also came out in 2005. Jen, for her part, went on to marry and later divorce Justin Theroux in 2017 after two years of marriage.
But as we’ve been reporting recently, Brad and Jen have made great strides in their friendship lately!
We told you how the poppa of six attended the actress’ 50th birthday party back in February. And less than a week ago, the Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood actor made a conspicuously friendly appearance at his ex’s star-studded Christmas party at her home in Bel-Air. Sources even told ET he was one of the first to arrive and last to leave!
So, yeah. By all accounts, we’re inclined to agree that things are all good here!
With awards season right around the corner, we should expect those good vibes to keep flowing! A different insider explained to Us:
“Jen and Brad are friends and occasionally connect. There’s no chance that a potential run-in between Jen and Brad [at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards and SAG Awards] will be tense or uncomfortable.”
