Prepare to have the memories of your favorite wholesome TV show tarnished!
The Brady Bunch is one of those classic sitcoms that just never goes out of style. Even today it’s a fun show to sit down at watch with your fam and laugh at the antics of the original blended family. But behind the scenes things weren’t so innocent, according to one of the Brady brothers himself!

Barry Williams, who played eldest son Greg, spilled ALL the tea about everyone’s relationships on and off set. On the 55th anniversary of the show’s premiere last week, he told US Weekly pretty much the entire cast got frisky with each other:
“We all hooked up with each other at some point. Not necessarily while we were filming.”
OMG!
But who got with who? Barry wasn’t afraid to tell all the juicy details. And he says it wasn’t just one-off hookups but full-on relationships between all the small screen siblings:
“I dated Maureen [McCormick], and Chris [Knight] dated Eve [Plum] and Michael [Lookinland] and Susan [Olsen] had a little mock wedding at one point. So, yes, we all hooked up.”
So to fans, that’s Greg dating Marcia, Peter dating Jan, and Bobby dating Cindy! It must’ve been so weird to play siblings with your romantic partner day-in and day-out. Not to mention hooking up with your pretend sibling?! Wild.
But the Brady siblings weren’t the only ones in on all the romance. Barry also addressed the rumors about him and his onscreen mom Florence Henderson, AKA Carol Brady. He says he did have a huge crush on her — and even asked her on a date at one point:
“I had a teenage crush on her, for sure, And she’s got a very lively personality and great sense of humor, but I knew that I wanted to have music in my career [in] acting, and so I talked to her a lot about that. I had found this singer coming into the Copacabana near Beverly Hills. I can’t think of exactly where it was, but I invited her to go together as a date, and she said, ‘OK,’ so I was thrilled. And now for me, it was a date.”
Of course, getting “recognized” on a date with his TV mom felt “strange”:
“We were recognized, and so people were whispering about us, which is strange, but we talked about the singer, his orchestrations, the band that he had, and what touring was like. And she gave me an idea what that life would look like now at the end of the date. And this is chronicled in my book as well.”
No wonder the rumors of them dating have been around for decades! But he swears that was their only date! Even though it ended pretty well for him…
“I did go in for a little kiss and and, and she was nice enough to return it. So it was a highlight. Nice little peck, yes.”
Wow. The Bradys really did keep it in the family… But if you were wondering if Mike and Carol were ever a thing? Nope! The late, great Robert Reed wasn’t interested in Florence. He was gay — something he kept a close secret due to homophobia.
