Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie really are two caring individuals, if it isn’t adopting children in need, it’s donating money to causes — and they’ve just made a massive one to help out those affected by the tornadoes in Joplin.
Brad actually grew up around there, in Springfield, and had this to say about the staggering $500,000 donation they made towards long-term rebuilding efforts:
“With the devastating loss of thirty percent of the city, the Joplin community faces great challenges ahead. Having spent much of my childhood there, I know these people to be hardworking, humble and especially resilient.
“The locally based Community Foundation of the Ozarks will be working shoulder to shoulder with these Joplin residents for the long haul as they rebuild their lives. We, too, hope to further help with these rebuilding efforts,” he added, while Angelina said, “Our hearts go out to the families in Joplin who have lost so much.”
Seriously, this is incredible of them. They didn’t have to donate anything at all, let alone the amount they did. It’s so great to see them making an effort to better this world, for sure!
