Chris Pine played a spaceship captain without ever leaving Earth!
Alexander Skarsgard plays a bloodsucking fiend even though he only eats those tasty Swedish meatballs they sell at Ikea.
Ryan Gosling played an an anti-social getaway driver and he doesn’t even know how to drive stick!
We fabricated that last example, but you get our point!!
Actors — even the pretty ones — are skilled at pretending to be someone they are not!
Nevertheless, Bret Easton Ellis maintains his wacky position that Matt Bomer assuming the role of Christian Grey is “ludicrous.”
Let’s look at some of his recent Twitter vomit:
Fifty Shades of Grey: Matt Bomer: I don’t care how good an actor you are but being married to another man complicates things for playing CG.

That’s absurd!
Digging himself a deeper hole, he continued:
Okay I’ll say it. Matt Bomer isn’t right for Christian Grey because he is openly gay. He’s great for other roles but this is too big a game.

Really?
We think the writer of Rules of Attraction severely underestimated our boy’s acting chops!
Thankfully, he has absolutely no say when it comes to casting the 50 Shades film. In fact, he’s no longer even in consideration to adapt the script!
We’re not the only ones disappointed by Bret’s very public and very fallacious argument to limit the roles of homosexual actors.
He later revealed:
I was just spit on at the West Hollywood Pavillions supermarket while passing the Free HIV-testing van in the parking lot.
