And if it doesn’t work out with Brian, there are still a few other executive producers on Tower Heist that might be interested! Ha!
Last we heard about Academy President Tom Sherak’s search for a replacement Oscar producer, Tower Heist’s Brian Grazer was the frontrunner for the job.
Sure enough, Sherak has confirmed that Grazer WILL step in as Brett Ratner’s replacement. Here’s what the Academy Prez had to say about it:
“Brian Grazer is a renowned filmmaker who over the past 25 years has produced a diverse and extraordinary body of work. He will certainly bring his tremendous talent, creativity and relationships to the Oscars.”
And here’s what Grazer had to say about it:
“It’s very gratifying to be part of a show that honors excellence in the medium to which I have devoted so much of my career.”
Congratulations, Brian! Hopefully it’s not TOO awkward between U and Brett from here on out! We wouldn’t want anything to get in the way of Tower Heist 2! LOLz!
