The British version of Vogue is putting on their first ever Vogue Festival, featuring panels headed by fashion royalty Christopher Bailey, Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, David Bailey, Natalia Vodianova, journalist & chef Nigella Lawson and Marigay McKee of Harrods.
The fashion fest takes place April 20 & 21 at London’s Royal Geographical Society.
Editor in chief of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman, has imagined a Vogue-centric fest for years, but only recently put her musings to fruition:

“We have a lively, engaged, glamorous constituency who will be able to hear Diane von Furstenberg talk about her life and times; ask Natalia Vodianova, Lily Cole and Jourdan Dunn what modeling is like, and listen to Rachel Zoe and Livia Firth talk about the red carpet.
I also wanted to get a sociological element into the program — and look at where fashion intersects with the world we live in.
It’s about showing what Vogue is, and why it’s different from other titles.”

It├óΓé¼Γäós unclear as to whether this event – which takes place April 20 & 21 at London├óΓé¼Γäós Royal Geographical Society – will actually be open to the general public, or only to gold ticket members…
we obvi hope the former, otherwise we think Vogue will miss their own point.
Do U think this is a smart move for British Vogue??
