We certainly wouldn’t have seen this coming, especially during the Everytime/Cry Me A River days, but former mega-couple Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake have buried the hatchet and re-building a friendship!
At least it would appear that way, as the also-engaged pop sensation and current X Factor judge has reportedly spent close to $20,000 on a WEDDING present for her ex-boyfriend and fiancée Jessica Biel!
Sources close to Brit reveal that despite the fact that her own husband-to-be, Jason Trawick, “would be livid if he knew,” she wanted to “to thank Justin for always being there for her” with reservations for a week-long stay on a private island!
WOWZA!
That’s certainly one helluva thank you!
However, the insider continues:
“Jason has no idea. Brit’s been reaching out to a lot of old friends and is trying to build bridges. But Jason doesn’t trust her friends. He thinks she’s still too unstable for a regular life.”
Stable enough to headline a world tour and appear as a judge on reality competition, but not enough to hang out with friends?
Not too sure if we buy that!
But if she did, in fact, go out of her way to do something nice for Justin, we think it shows an incredible amount of maturity, and we would be THRILLED to see them re-connect after all this time!
And maybe even COLLABORATE on some tunes?!
