It’s crazy to think that it’s been about 14 years since Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake called it quits on their highly publicized relationship — especially since the world is DESPERATE to have them musically collaborate.
As you may recall, BritBrit recently hinted that she’d be down with working with her ex and when the Cry Me A River singer learned of her interest he said he was “absolutely” on board with the idea of a duet. #RIP us.

Upon hearing this news, many fans were ready to pre-order the potential single on Apple Music. However, Miz Spears has since clarified her stance on collaborating with the NSYNC alum as she dished to Rylan Clark-Neal on This Morning:
“One of my friends asked me if I would do a song with him and I said ‘yes,’ so they took it as I really wanted to do it – and that would be fun – but yeah, I think that’s [just] a lot of talk├óΓé¼┬ª”
Ummm, that’s not a no!
Not to mention, back in August, the blonde beauty directly stated that her former flame was “very good” when asked about which A-listers she’d like to work with in the future. So don’t play coy with us, girl!
Nonetheless, when pushed harder by Clark-Neal about the reconciliation rumors, Spears replied:
“You never know!”

Regardless, the mother-of-two seems more focused on promoting her current album Glory than any potential duet with Justin. Fair, fair.
On her “empowering” album, the Make Me artist noted:
“It took me two years to make this and it’s just been an amazing ride. I’ve spent really all my quality time and my heart into this, so it’s very cool.”
Aww! Well keep doing you, girl… and be sure to let us know the MINUTE you and Justin figure out this whole duet thing!
