Caitlyn Jenner Gets Candid With Larry King About Her Gender Reassignment Surgery: 'It's Not As Bad As You Think'

Despite recently dropping a memoir, Caitlyn Jenner still stays tight-lipped about several things. Case in point, the Olympian hasn’t spoken out much about the gender reassignment surgery she underwent. So it’s no wonder Larry King asked the I Am Cait star to open up a bit more when she stopped by his show, Larry King Now.

On why she doesn’t speak in depth about her surgery, the 67-year-old explained:

“Out of respect. Not just for me ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ because those things are very personal, wouldn’t you agree? And just because you’re trans doesn’t mean that you have to ask every question… I understand that people are fascinated by that kind of stuff.”

King quickly interjected and shared that he was only curious about the surgery as he simply wanted to know what it was like “to go through with it.” This comment seemed to inspire Cait to really open up as she added:

“…it’s not as bad as you think. I’ll go with that. It’s not quite as bad as you think, but most trans women do not have surgery. It’s only about I think 32 percent.”

The reality TV vet went on to note that not only is the surgery incredibly expensive, but not every transgender person is ready to go under the knife. The KUWTK alum relayed:

“But most, as far as getting the time and this and that to be able to do something like that ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and what’s between your legs doesn’t define who you are. It’s about what’s here. And a lot of them, to be honest with you, like their old parts.”

Very fair.
And while the A-lister was confident in her decision to have surgery, it seems as though she’s still figuring out her sexual orientation. After some probing from Larry, the retired athlete revealed that she doesn’t know if she’s attracted to men or women as she doesn’t “even go there.”
This remark resulted in the 83-year-old reminding Jenner that she’s still a sexual viable person. Yup, Larry King just hit on Caitlyn Jenner. LOVES it!
