EXCLUSIVE! Photo Agency Says They Asked Peter Berg To Take Down His Transphobic Caitlyn Jenner Meme For THIS Reason (Hint: It's Not About The Money)!

AKM-GSI says they aren't asking for the photo to be taken down because of money, like TMZ says.
Peter Berg has already said he respects Caitlyn Jenner in spite of the transphobic meme he posted to his Instagram account on Thursday — and in spite of the fact that said transphobic post is still up on his page.
But it seems a few more apologies are still owed in this digital debacle.
TMZ reported that the photo agency AKM-GSI sent the director a letter asking to remove the meme since it contained one of its pictures.

The entertainment outlet had written that part of the reason the agency wanted the snapshot to be taken down was because it wasn’t getting paid for the usage.
But, a rep from AKM-GSI told us EXCLUSIVELY that this just isn’t the case, saying:

“This story couldn’t be further from the truth. The reason we asked Peter Berg’s rep to take down our image is because we don’t agree with his message. Not because we weren’t getting paid.”

In the cease and desist letter, the agency says it proudly supports both Caitlyn and the US armed forces:

“The image used in your Facebook post and the subsequent use of the image on Mr. Peter Berg’s Instagram account is the property of AKM-GSI and requires proper clearance. Additionally, we would have in no way authorized use of this image in this context. AKM-GSI supports both the LGBT community and our nation’s troops and applaud their courage. To needlessly put these proud groups at odds with one another goes against the very freedoms our armed forces bravely fight to preserve and the sense of inclusion that Caitlyn Jenner is trying to foster.”

Peter has to remove the image from his social media TODAY.
