Finally, people can now feel a little more safe in regards to any vengeful exes.
Noe Iniguez, 36, has become the first person to be convicted under California’s new “revenge porn” law.
He was sentenced to one year in jail, then 36 months of probation, and will have to take domestic violence counseling for not only violating the revenge porn law but also for violating two restraining orders.
Iniguez is going to jail because he not only posted derogatory comments about his ex-girlfriend online, he also posted a topless photo of her, calling her a “drunk” and a “slut.”

Oh, and did we mention he posted this on her employer’s Facebook page in an attempt to get her fired?
Yeah. Gross.
Mike Feuer, a Los Angeles City Attorney, commented on the law and verdict, saying:
“California’s new revenge porn law gives prosecutors a valuable tool to protect victims whose lives and reputations have been upended by a person they once trusted. This conviction sends a strong message that this type of malicious behavior will not be tolerated.”
That is seriously just so amazing!
We’re surprised it took until the end of 2014 to get a law like this working but late is better than never, we guess.
