The California Supreme Court has voted to uphold Proposition 8.
Gay and lesbian residents of this state will continue to be treated as second-class and not have access to the same rights, privileges and protections that married heterosexual couples have.
Sad. Sad. Sad.
Institutionalized discrimination!
Update: The one glimmer of good news is that the 18,000 gay marriages that took place while it was legal in California will continue to be recognized and remain valid.
