Cardi B isn’t taking any chances when it comes to her safety and protecting her fans!
The Press rapper was all set to headline her show at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Tuesday night, but sadly had to call off the concert at the last minute after security received an “unverified threat” to Cardi.
According to an official statement from the Indianapolis Metro Police Department, the Bodak Yellow rapper and her team were dealing with “circumstances beyond anyone’s control” and decided to air on the side of caution by postponing.

The venue’s Twitter account shared the cancellation news with fans less than an hour before the show was supposed to start AND while Offset‘s wife was already in the building! WTF?! Really?
Fans were promised a rescheduled date set for September 11 with additional details to follow.

After the announcement, the Grammy winner immediately took to social media and issued a heartfelt apology to concertgoers.
Paired with a clip of her soundcheck rehearsals at Bankers Life before things went sour, she wrote on Twitter:
“Dear Indiana I just want to let you know I was in the venue today. I rehearsed and started doing glam. Due to a security threat that is under investigation the show was canceled. My safety and your safety first. I want to thank the promoters we have already rescheduled the show. Im so sorry guys I never dealt with a situation like this before and I’m not taking any chances. I love you guys.”

Ugh, what a bummer for everyone involved!
It sounds like everything was good to go until the final moments before showtime. But, what exactly happened though?? And should the public be seriously concerned here?
Per IMPD, police offers said there is no threat to public safety and, while the investigation is ongoing, it is not an active incident.
Hmm, sounds like a dicey situation right there. If we’re being honest, we’re glad everyone decided to be safe than sorry. Even if it means that some people are upset about it!
Speaking of angry fans, quite a few of ’em took to Twitter to voice their frustrations about the whole ordeal, with many claiming Bardi could’ve just taken the normal security measures and moved on business as usual.

Cardi was quick to clap back with her own evidence about how the night went down, including two since-deleted videos of herself backstage — which she was allegedly asked not to share since the investigation is still ongoing — explaining the situation in real-time.
So, are fans acting completely out of line here??
Sigh. Okay. We get it.
This isn’t the first time the Money rapper has canceled a gig at the last second. If you’ll recall, she had to postpone a show back in May due to complications from her recent cosmetic plastic surgery.
But again, as we mentioned, it’s ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry. And to the Bardi Gang, be patient! You’ll have to wait a few more months, but your time will come.
