Cardi B & Bernie Sanders Talk Canceling Student Debt & More During Chat Targeting Young Voters!

Cardi B teams up with Bernie Sanders

In case you didn’t already know, Cardi B is a die hard Bernie Bro.

The Clout rapper sat down with presidential candidate Bernie Sanders to film a video that will be part of his 2020 campaign bid, which they hope will spark an increased interest in politics among young voters.

The full sit-down has yet to be released, but the two public icons shared photos of their summit to social media, teasing what they claim was an insightful discussion about the future of America.

On Monday, the 26-year-old performer shared a photo of their chat, explaining in the caption that she had asked the Senator questions submitted to her by fans. She wrote:

“Not me, US. Thank you Senator Bernie Sanders for sitting with me and sharing your plans on how you will change this country. A couple of weeks ago I asked my followers if you had the opportunity to have a question answered by a democratic candidate what would it be? I got a lot of submission and selected the most popular questions to get answered. Stay tuned to see how he will fight for economic, racial, and social justice for all. Together, let’s build a movement of young people to transform this country. LETS LEARN OUR CANDIDATES!”

Big Bern also shared a snap of their conversation, writing in the caption:

“Today @iamcardib and I finally met. We had a great conversation about the future of America. And let me tell you: Cardi B is right. Together, we’ll get millions of young people involved in the political process and transform this country. Stay tuned for our video coming soon!”

Cardi, for her part, has been a vocal Bernie Bro for the past few months. She’s been showering the fellow New Yorker with plenty of social media support by sharing his campaign messages on her Twitter.

The 77-year-old politician doesn’t seem to mind the endorsement, as Cardi will certainly help lock down those precious young voters (they hope). This demo was targeted in their chat, in which they discussed topics like canceling student debt, climate change, and raising the minimum wage.

The sit-down — filmed at the TEN Nail Bar, a local nail salon owned by two black women — is the first collaboration between the duo.

Hopefully, it’s not their last!
