Just before Carrie Fisher unexpectedly passed away in December, the 60-year-old told the world about her affair with Harrison Ford back in 1976 when they were filming Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope (you know, when he was a married father of two).
But long before she let that cat out of the bag, she made a public request of her former paramour.
In an unearthed interview from the Rebel Force Radio podcast in April 2010, Miz Fisher disclosed that she wanted her former costar and lover to sing at her Oscars tribute!

She revealed at the time:
“I asked him [at a party] if he would be in my death reel, and if he would sing. It’s just something I want. He’s going to sing ‘Melancholy Wookiee.'”
We think she was probably joking, but her family did go through with putting her ashes in a giant Prozac pill per her request. So who knows??
It would be pretty awesome…
It turns out, the iconic starlet got the idea after witnessing John Hughes‘ tribute at the 82nd Academy Awards when actors from his films (think: Molly Ringwald, Matthew Broderick and Macaulay Culkin) all took the stage to honor his career.
The author admitted she wanted something similar:
“So, I figured they’ll bring out, depending on when it happens, there’s a lot of people they can bring out.”
When asked if she’d ever heard the Indiana Jones star sing a tune before, Carrie quipped:
“No, and I don’t think we’re missing much.”
That’s our girl!

As far as next month’s Oscars goes… ABC News reports Fisher (and her mother Debbie Reynolds) will be included in a memoriam, but a separate tribute is not planned.
