The yet-to-be released film Soul Men lost two of its stars to death this past weekend.
Music legend Isaac Hayes and comedian Bernie Mac starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson in the story of two estranged soul legends (played by Jackson and Mac) who reunite at the Apollo Theater to honor their recently deceased band leader.
According to a recent report, everything has been shot, so there should be no problem with getting it ready for release, but how Dimension Films will release it is in question.
The movie doesn├óΓé¼Γäót open until November 14th, but it’s speculated that the studio may decide to delay it a little more because the theme of death is so pronounced in the plot. The audience may need a little more time to grieve the passing of Mr’s. Mac and Hayes before seeing them in such a heavy film.
Sam Jackson must be going through such a tough time at the moment, but we’re sure he’ll see the film through promotion brilliantly.
When the movie finally comes out we’ll definitely bring a box of tissues when we go to see it.
