What an incredible act of love.
Back in 2019, just one day after marrying Cassie, her husband Alex Fine ran a 50-mile marathon in honor of domestic violence victims. In a blog post on his website Almost Home the next year, he revealed it was in support of his mother, who was a victim of “domestic abuse and violence,” and his way of processing his “anger” after watching her be forced to “relive the memories” of her trauma amid a three-year trial. Little did anyone know at the time that he was also running in support of his partner!

Cassie went public with her sexual abuse claims against Diddy in late 2023, and all week she’s been testifying about the horrible things he allegedly put her through during their decade-long romance ending in 2018. Amid her emotional testimony, a video of Cassie and Alex embracing after his marathon resurfaced, and it’s SO powerful!
In the Instagram clip, Alex runs up to his wife, going incognito in a black hoodie. They share an emotional hug without saying much to each other, but her expression says it all. The runner captioned the video:
“Just the person I needed with me the whole time. Wow I am so lucky to be able to hug her after this. She makes me better in every way.”

He ran through “excruciating pain,” a swollen ankle, hunger, and exhaustion to prove his love and support for his family. He also raised over $50,000 dollars for the important cause. So amazing! He reflected in his blog:
“I hugged my family and we all just broke down and cried. It was emotional, but for all of us, it felt like a moment of closure.”
