How Cassie Is Moving On From 'Heartbreaking & Horrific' Diddy Trial

How Cassie Is Moving On After Diddy Trial

Cassie is ready to move past the Diddy trial.

After giving her harrowing testimony last week, the 38-year-old singer is preparing to move forward. A source spoke to US Weekly on Monday and revealed where Cassie is at mentally after reliving her trauma in four straight days on the stand:

“It’s been a very hard time for Cassie. It’s been heartbreaking and horrific for her to relive these awful memories. She has had many years of trauma therapy to try and cope with what happened to her.”

The insider said the past few months of preparation have been “nerve-racking, stressful and exhausting” for the pregnant momma, and she “feels relieved that the time has come and she can put this behind her”:

“Cassie’s been trying to manage her stress levels as she is in her last trimester of her pregnancy and is going to give birth soon. It’s been a lot for her emotionally and physically.”

With all this stress on her, she’s been leaning on her husband Alex Fine, who is her “saving grace through it all”:

“She credits him for saving her through the darkest times. He is the most patient and loving person and has never judged her for her past. Having that kind of unconditional support has meant everything to her. He’s really been her rock through this horrific time. She feels safe with him, something she has never felt before.”

We’re so glad Cassie has Alex there for her, and their two children Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 4.

The insider went on to note how the dancer is living a life that’s “completely opposite” of what it used to be when she was with Diddy:

“There was a point in time where she thought Diddy was her soulmate and that they would get married. That was long before she realized the dark sinister side of him and discovered just how dark things really were behind the scenes.”

So sad…

Her life with Alex is “peaceful” now, though:

“She and Alex live a very normal and quiet life now. She isn’t interested in the spotlight or anything to do with Hollywood. Her next venture will be philanthropic, and she wants to do something impactful. She is really focused on her family and raising her babies in a peaceful and normal environment right now. It is still hard for her on a day-to-day basis.”

Very much deserved. It’s great to hear she’s putting herself and her family first, although that comes with its challenges. In fact, the source claims Cassie and “the girls cannot leave the house at times” because of how viral this trial is:

“It has been a frenzy and has taken a toll on their family, especially recently.”

Even so, Cassie believes it’s important to “be a good example” for not only her children, but other victims of sex trafficking and abuse:

“Every word she speaks, and every action is for her children and to be a good example, especially for women. She never wants anyone to go through what she’s been through. It’s been the most painful, terrifying experience of her life, but she’s trying to turn that pain into purpose.”

Such a strong, admirable woman. We’re wishing her and her family the best.
