Since Diddy‘s shocking arrest last week, we haven’t been able to help but think of one person and how she’s doing…
Cassie sued Diddy in November, claiming he raped, physically abused, and sex trafficked her during their decade-long relationship. The exes settled the lawsuit a day later, a move many interpreted as trying to sweep the accusations under the rug. However, his legal troubles were just getting started. In March of this year, surveillance footage came out showing Diddy brutally attacking her at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, which backed the accusations she made in the lawsuit. And by that time, the writing was already on the wall…
Cassie’s suit opened the floodgates, kicking off an investigation into Diddy by Homeland Security. More came forward with similar accusations against the hip hop mogul, culminating in his arrest last week on several charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Every new detail coming out of the case makes the whole thing more horrific. The Bad Boy Records founder allegedly abused men and women and drugged and forced them to engage in non-consensual sexual acts during parties he called “Freak Offs.” When the feds raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami earlier this year, they found 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant. Whoa…
With his arrest, we can imagine Cassie has a ton of emotions right now. However, don’t plan on the singer sharing her feelings with the world anytime soon. A source told Dailymail.com on Tuesday that Cassie does NOT plan to speak out about the arrest as she is still in “pain” over her abusive relationship with Diddy and “triggered” by the accusations that have dropped:
“Cassie is taking time away to focus on her peace because the details of the case are triggering.”
We have to wonder if she’s even allowed to talk about it, considering the lawsuit settlement…
But we have some insight, thanks to this insider — who also noted that while Cassie is “relieved,” she is not “celebrating” the arrest:
“She is relieved that the case has escalated but she isn’t celebrating. She is upset that people didn’t listen to other alleged victims in the 90s because she would have been spared.”
Unfortunately, you cannot change the past. But moving forward, Cassie and her husband, Alex Fine, are doing their best to heal together with the help of therapy:
“She and her husband have been in therapy to help them manage the stress of the lawsuit so it doesn’t affect their relationship.”
We can imagine this hasn’t been easy for Cassie — and will only get more difficult when Diddy’s trial begins. We send so much love and support to her. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments.
