Cassie‘s nightmare week is over.
The singer has been put through the wringer, testifying in ex Diddy‘s sex trafficking trial for four straight days. She relived the degradation of her freak off experiences, she recounted her sexual assault and physical abuse claims, she defended her credibility. All at eight months pregnant! And now that the harrowing experience is over, she has something to say.

Outside the courtroom on Friday, her lawyer Douglas Wigdor gave reporters her prepared statement, beginning:
“This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me. I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors, and can help others who have suffered to speak up and also heal from abuse and fear. For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget.”
The things this poor woman has to remember… Oof. Her statement continued:
“I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support, and am grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received. I am glad to put this chapter of my life to rest as I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family.”
We applaud Cassie for standing up and doing this. It took such guts. The pregnant 38-year-old may finally get some closure now. Well, assuming Diddy goes to prison at the end of all this…
