Details have finally emerged about model Charles DeVoe‘s cause of death.
According to reports, the Abercrombie & Fitch model had been in a coma since last month following a surfing accident.
On November 12th, DeVoe was surfing in Rockaway, New York when his board’s ankle strap got caught on a wooden pole. He remained under water for several minutes before a rescue team cut him free.
At one point the 28 year old showed signs of improvement, but ultimately took a turn for the worse and passed away after a month at Columbia University Medical Center.
