Meet your new Angels — or should we say Charlie’s new angels..?
The cast has officially been announced for Elizabeth Banks‘ reboot of Charlie’s Angels!
Only one of the previously mentioned names remains, and she’s the most seasoned of the group — Kristen Stewart. We can’t wait to see the Twilight star kick some ass!

Next, Banks brought her Power Rangers costar Naomi Scott (above, right) aboard. The rising star was recently cast as Jasmine in the live action Aladdin as well — a princess AND an angel — so she’s well on her way to becoming a household name!
Finally the unknown. Ella Balinska (above, left) basically only has a couple TV episodes under her belt, so this is a HUGE break for the Brit!
Oh, and in addition to directing, Banks will play the first female Bosley.
In a statement to go along with the casting news, the filmmaker assured fans she was an admirer of the franchise first and foremost, saying:
“Charlie’s Angels, for me, is one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman since its debut in the ’70s. This film honors the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi, and Ella to bring this chapter to fans around the world.”
We’ll miss Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu, but we’re curious to see where the new take goes — and we will on September 27, 2019!
