So much for smooth sailing!
In a rare public appearance together, Cheryl Cole and her husband Ashley ventured out for a Saturday night in Londontown, but ended up exactly where they often do – in a fight!
After Cheryl’s performance at the Children In Need concert, the two hit up the Mayfair Hotel joined by Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts and her boyfriend.
“They were all sat around the table having a really good time. They were drinking and appeared really relaxed as they laughed and joked,” said an onlooker.
But, it didn’t last long! The two could barely crack a smile as they left the hotel the following morning!
Since Ashley’s infidelity two years ago, the couple has not been the same. Supposedly, Cheryl has not been able to get past it and rightfully so!
“They still have the occasional moment of fun but they both know, particularly Cheryl, that this isn’t going to be forever,” claims a friend. “The pattern of their relationship seems to be that she achieves something and she spends the next three or four days massaging his ego and building him up again. Supporting Cheryl doesn’t sit well with Ashley’s need to be alpha male.”
Such a douche!!
