The collective United Kingdom may have dubbed Cheryl Cole their nation’s sweetheart, but according to the pop star, she is less than thrilled with the title!
She reveals:
├óΓé¼╦£I cringe. I cringe. It├óΓé¼Γäós cringeworthy. I can├óΓé¼Γäót take that on board. If I took all of that on board, I├óΓé¼Γäód go crazy. If it took that on board, and then the negative stuff on board, where would I be? The first thing I ever say to my acts, as soon as I put them through Judges├óΓé¼Γäó Houses is, do not read the newspapers or the internet or magazines. And every single time, they do. It├óΓé¼Γäós so much easier to say than do, but I├óΓé¼Γäóm not just saying it for the sake of it. I├óΓé¼Γäóm talking from experience, you know?’
For someone who gets as much press as she does, we suppose it makes sense to just ignore all of it, the good as well as the bad!
But we’re kind of impressed that she rejects the title of nation’s sweetheart!
Our Chezza clearly wants to keep her head firmly on her shoulders, and we think it shows! No ego there!
