Cholera Kills 1,555 In Nigeria

This makes us sad.
Nigeria is being plagued with a cholera outbreak that has taken more than 1,500 lives so far. It├óΓé¼Γäós the worst outbreak in recent years — three times higher than last year and seven times higher than 2008. 40,000 have become infected, and women and children make up 4 of every 5 cases.
Cholera is spread when someone eats food or drinks water infected with the disease. Because two-thirds of rural Nigerians lack access to safe drinking water, and fewer than 40 percent of people in affected areas have access “to toilet facilities of any description,├óΓé¼┬¥ the disease is spreading easily.
Keep Nigeria in your thoughts, and if you can, fine a place to donate money!
