Breezy got another break of a lifetime today when his assault charge from allegedly punching a dude at a D.C. club this weekend got reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor!!
Chris Brown was arrested for felony assault, but apparently the prosecutors no longer think it was a felony at all!!
We aren’t sure why they backtracked and modified the charges, but the Don’t Judge Me singer still pled not guilty.
Strangely enough, he was first asked to submit to a drug test, but then a judge rescinded that order.
Breezy was released without bail, but is required to stay 100 yards away from the alleged victim.
According to some sources, the fight started when a man upset Chris by asking for his autograph. According to other sources, the dude was trying to force his way on Breezy’s tour bus.
No matter WHO you believe, this isn’t close to the first time CB has found himself in hot water after a violent situation.
UPDATE: Sources say the singer’s charges were reduced because injuries to the alleged victim were minor, though the accounts of what happened still vary.
