Christina Haack Says Josh Hall Would Throw A Fit On Set Over How She Interacted With Ex Tarek El Moussa!

Christina Hall Claims Josh Gave Her ‘Silent Treatment’ For Laughing At Tarek El Moussa On Set

Christina Haack says her problems with Josh Hall all stemmed from his insecurities around her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa.

In a new interview with Us Weekly on Wednesday, the HGTV star opened up about the demise of her relationship, which coincided with the summertime filming of her TV show The Flip Off, co-starring her ex-husband and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa. She explained:

“Josh was very hard to film with. He didn’t get it. He’d always get upset with me, like, ‘Oh, my gosh, you did this,’ or ‘You did that.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m making a TV show.’”

Ugh, who wants to walk around on eggshells while trying to be entertaining??

In retrospect, she’s actually really glad they broke up so soon into filming because she thinks his involvement in the show would have ruined it! She dished:

“Ultimately, it was better that he left after episode 1 because the show would’ve sucked.”

Oof!!

The Christina on the Coast star went on to recall how Josh got really upset about her working with her baby daddy, adding:

“If I would laugh at Tarek, I would get the silent treatment for a week.”

Jeez!

That’s harsh, especially considering that Christina interacting with her ex was nothing new! Not only do they share two kids, but, as she pointed out, they have “filmed together forever,” including when she first met Josh. Regardless, he just couldn’t get over his “insecurity,” she reflected:

“Somebody with more confidence would be able to say, ‘This is my wife, but yes, she does this for TV. She was filming with Tarek when I met her.’ There was a rationale there that didn’t make sense. You know what you signed up for. I’m your wife, and I’m choosing you, but you’re choosing to make my life harder over insecurities.”

While these on-camera tensions weren’t the only reason they broke up, she does think working together “probably just sped [their split] up.” As for the timing of the breakup impacting the show? She isn’t worried:

“This isn’t Josh’s show. No one’s going to miss that he’s not in it. Josh is not a TV host, he’s not a house flipper, he’s not a designer. He was just my husband in it. With Tarek, we built everything together, and I still have respect for him. I have no respect for Josh.”

Damn, that says a lot. While she’s “not nervous” to watch the show when it premieres later this month, the mother of three promised it will be “raw,” noting:

“There are definitely some very emotional scenes. It’s different than anything I’ve ever shot for television — it’s very real and raw.”

Based on what we’ve already seen so far, things do look intense! What a bummer that something that should have been fun for the couples turned into such a nightmare at the start, but maybe it’s better to have had help speeding up the split than staying in an allegedly toxic relationship longer than necessary?? Now, she can move on to better things.
