Claudia & Karl Do Blackface

Here we go again.
For the 60th issue of Stern Fotografie, Karl Lagerfeld compiled photos of his favorite supermodel Claudia Schiffer.
The style mag, featuring snap shots of Claudia taken over the past 20 years by Unkle K, is being published in 6 different covers. Unfortunately, one of those covers shows Claudia sporting dark makeup and an afro.
We just don’t get it. Why do European magazines like Stern Fotografie, L’Officiel Hommes and Vogue Paris insist on doing this time and time again?
Enough is enough!
