A hero of both rock and country, southern rocker Gregg Allman passed just a few days ago.
And it’s a testament to how much he meant to so many that the CMT Music Awards were able to put together such a great tribute in such a short amount of time — and as the opening of the show!
Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, Derek Trucks, and Lady Antebellum‘s Charles Kelley all pitched in to give the Allman Brothers Band singer a proper southern sendoff.
