Goodbye, Larry King! Hello…person who was available.
Sources say that CNN wanted Katie Couric to replace Larry King when he exits his show this Fall. Due to her contract with CBS which expires in June 2011, Couric was unable to take his place.
In lieu of Couric, CNN has snagged America’s Got talent judge Piers Morgan to take over the position. Piers is known for his celebrity interview show in Britain, where he has gotten some tough cookies to cry, including American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
How’d you pull that one off, Piers?
The final details of this deal are likely to be announced as soon as this week.
