Sounds like a great candidate for Donald Trump‘s administration!
Music fans are still basking in the glory of the 2017 Coachella lineup, with headliners Kendrick Lamar, Radiohead, and Beyoncé confirmed to perform.
But while the annual Indio, California music festival has spent the past few years blossoming into a hub of music and Millennial culture, its far-right leaning owner has been fighting for legislation that should make concertgoers — and performers — think twice about showing up!

Several music publications have pointed out that while Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen cofounded the festival together in 1999, Coachella is actually organized by national music production company Goldenvoice — which is owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group.
Unfortunately, AEG is the entertainment corporation of Philip Anschutz, a denier of climate change who has donated to anti-gay organizations and has supported infuriating anti-LGBT laws in the past!
The billionaire entrepreneur has donated to Mission America Coalition, which promotes travel restrictions for HIV-positive citizens, and was also a major backer of Colorado’s Prop 2 — which would have broadly legalized discrimination against queer folk had the Supreme Court not ruled it unconstitutional.
The Coachella owner was also a founding funder of the Discovery Institute, which reportedly has on its agenda the promotion of “intelligent design” (aka creationism) in public schools. Yeesh…
But it gets worse — Anschutz is also the owner and operator of the pro-fracking Anschutz Exploration Company, and has sued entire towns for their anti-fracking regulation — and unsurprisingly, he’s totally supportive of the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Here’s the kicker: through Coachella and other music promotions, the entertainment tycoon is basically milking the liberal youth culture’s spending money and funneling it to the corporate, Conservative causes they are fighting against.
Hmmm… we wonder if Bey and the other left-leaning performers are privy to the popular Arts Festival being overseen by an ultra-conservative media head??
In short, today’s hippies need to stay woke — and maybe think twice about dropping a few grand for the corporate music festival.
