We’re so glad that they’re making this stop during their Mylo Xyloto touring — Coldplay is going to headline the closing ceremonies of the London Paralympic Summer Games!
They call it the Festival of Flame.
Here’s what Chris Martin had to say:
“Being asked to play at the closing celebrations for the Paralympic athletes in London is such a great honor for us. We are so happy to be involved. It will be one of the biggest nights of our lives and we’re very excited to try to create a performance for the last night of the games that will close London 2012 in style.”
Their excitement is contagious!
The show will be held at the Olympic Stadium attended by athletes with physical disabilities from around the globe.
Don’t worry, though, because the rest of the world will get to see it too: it’s being broadcasted to a worldwide audience of over 750 million! You’re probably one of those!
