This is some seriously terrible news!
Chris Martin gave an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe on Friday Dec. 5 when he announced some sad Coldplay news.
Well, he DID reveal some good news too, but it was mostly bad.
Gwyneth Paltrow‘s estranged husband revealed the name of their next album will be A Head Full of Dreams but he also said like the Harry Potter books (seriously) the band’s seventh album would be their last.
NOOOOOOOO!
The band are retiring?!? Well, not exactly.
Chris explained:
“We haven’t told anyone this but we’re making an album called A Head Full of Dreams. We’re right in the middle of it. It’s our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it’s like the last Harry Potter book or something.
Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something. I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing. Otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it.”
That’s actually a really good way to put it!
If they don’t consider it their last it won’t be the ‘best’ they ever do and go out with a bang.
But, we don’t want them to stop making albums! Sigh.
Let’s hope that they’re just joshing with us and they’ll continue making music forever!
