Or so we imagine…
Sources are confirming that Coldplay had just signed a HUGE publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing, though they won’t reveal any further detials.
Chris Martin and Co. have penned a fresh contract with the publishing giants on the heels of Universal buying out their old label, BMG Music. As the biggest companies in the business, it is safe to say that Universal offered the boys a very lucrative deal, but no one is saying just how long their contract is with Coldplay or how much they are paying them.
We’re guessing the suits think the statistics would blow our little minds! (Easily, each of the band mates should be making a couple of million a piece.)
Universal president Paul Connolly commented on their acquisition, saying: “They’ve sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and their huge success is entirely deserved. We’re obviously very proud.”
As you should be!
So does this mean we will hear something new coming from you guys soon?! Yes?!
