Apparently, Colin Kaepernick is NOT cool with Travis Scott performing at the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show!
On Tuesday, Variety published an article that claimed Kylie Jenner‘s boyfriend “consulted” with the football player before confirming his appearance alongside Maroon 5 and Big Boi.

However, that same day, Kaepernick’s friend, Ebro Darden, SLAMMED the piece saying Kap “did not approve this bulls**t.”
The Hot 97 host wrote on Twitter:
Kap did not approve this bullshit! Get the fuck outta here…. https://t.co/yyMVAXQB3k

The former San Francisco 49ers player later retweeted the (above) message.
Additionally, Kap’s girlfriend — Nessa Dias — refuted the Variety source that claimed Travis and Colin “emerged from the conversation with mutual respect and understanding.”
In a message retweeted by Colin, she wrote:
There is NO mutual respect and there is NO understanding for anyone working against @Kaepernick7 PERIOD. #stoplying https://t.co/0HB6kcWJRG

According to TMZ on Wednesday, despite what other outlets are reporting, the two DID speak, but Scott never asked Kaepernick for permission.
Per Travis sources, when the publication reported on December 20 that the Sicko Mode rapper was performing at the Super Bowl, Stormi Webster‘s dad agreed to the gig, but did NOT sign his contract.
Because he wanted to be “sensitive to the black community,” Scott came up with the idea of asking the NFL to donate to a charity.
Prior to signing, Travis reached out to Colin, and the two disagreed about Scott’s performance. Sources say their conversation was “cordial and not hostile.”
While Travis respects Colin, “Colin doesn’t tell Travis what he can and can’t do. That’s Travis’ decision.”
A few days ago, Scott signed his contract, which includes a $500,000 donation to CNN contributor Van Jones‘ charity, Dream Corps.
Kaepernick was the first NFL player to kneel during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racial inequality.
