Comedian Lisa Lampanelli vowed to donated $1,000 to GMHC for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care services for every anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church protestor that showed up at her Topeka, Kansas show.
44 protestors arrived to spew their ridiculous hate, allowing Lisa to donate a generous $44,000 to the charity.
Marjorie Hill, CEO of GMHC said:
“We are grateful for Lisa Lampanelli’s kindness and courage to fight homophobia. She is holding up a mirror to bigotry and hatred, and reflecting back love and generosity.”
Wow. What a wonderful way of turning hate into something positive. Great job, Lisa!!
