Many like us were devastated when NBC announced that the HIGHlarious Community would be shelved this spring, while garbage like Whitney still manages to remain on the air, and in response, a group of the comedy’s fans plan to flash mob in protest at 30 Rockefeller Center TODAY!
According to the Facebook event page, fans are encouraged to sing Christmas carols, bring pictures of Christmas trees, and wear black goatees made of felt or construction paper!
Organizer Catherine Boyd explains:
“It really hit a chord with me, it struck me as being very unfair that 25,000 Nielsen boxes could keep or kill this beautiful show. That is very upsetting. I’m not all that funny and I’m kind of a nerd. So I came up with what I thought was something that’s surreal, that everyone in New York could join in and sing a Christmas song for just two minutes.”
