Iceland’s Prime Minster married her long-time partner yesterday, said her office this morning, making her the world’s first national leader with a same-sex spouse.
Amazing!
Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir married writer Jonina Leosdottir exactly on the day a new law took effect in the country defining marriage as a union between “two consenting adults regardless of sex.”
What a crazy idea, huh?
