It's official!
As we reported, Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson will be replaced by actor James Corden!
In a statement finally confirming the news, James said:

"I can't describe how thrilled and honoured I am to be taking over from the brilliant Craig Ferguson. I can't wait to get started, and will do my very best to make a show America will enjoy."

But who is this affable Brit you ask? CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler said:

"James Corden is a rare entertainment force who combines irresistible charm, warmth and originality with a diverse range of creative instincts and performance talent. He is the ultimate multi-hyphenate — a writer, creator and performer who is loved and respected in every medium he touches, including theater, comedy, music, film and television."

High praise! But where can we get a taste of all that quintuple-threat goodness?
American viewers may know him from his HULU series The Wrong Mans or from his guest-starring role on Doctor Who, and soon he'll be seen as Emily Blunt's hubby in Disney's Into The Woods.
But it looks like we'll have plenty of time to get to know James every night on CBS! Congrats, guy!
