Craig Strickland's Widow Attends The Late Chase Morland's Visitation With Sam, The Family Hunting Dog Found Near The Bodies

‘s family is finding comfort in the late country singer’s dog, Sam, who was found safe after the fatal hunting trip.
The 29-year-old musician was discovered after a seven day search in the Lake Kaw region north of Tulsa, Oklahoma following a duck-hunting trip in the middle of winter storm Goliath. The man accompanying the country crooner, pal Chase Morland, was also found dead.
On Tuesday, Strickland’s widow Helen attended the visitation for Morland alongside her father-in-law Randy, sister-in-law Jenna, and of course, the beloved Sam.

Helen penned of the somber occasion:

“‘The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.’ Psalms 34:18
We had the opportunity to go to Chase Morland’s visitation tonight. He was so loved by so many people. It was encouraging to be around his wonderful friends and family. Sam was also invited ├ó┬¥┬ñ├»┬╕┬Å He has truly been a comfort to all of us. We are so thankful the Lord blessed us with such a extraordinary pup.”

The former Miss Arkansas previously shared that Sam didn’t leave Morland’s side until officials discovered his body on December 28.
Craig’s sister Jenna also shared a pic with the heroic pup and her late brother’s wife:
