We’re very sad to report that a crewmember working on the set for G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation has died following a fatal accident.
According to Paramount Pictures, the crewmember was in the process of tearing down the set when the accident occurred.
A source has said that he was “working on a high-powered scissor lift,” which tipped over.
Here’s what Paramount had to say about it in a statement:
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the [crew member’s] family at this time. The safety of our cast and crew is our top priority and the studio is fully cooperating with all investigating agencies as they examine the circumstances surrounding this unusual accident.”
We also send our thoughts and prayers to the crewmember’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
