It seems even Dakota Johnson is laughing at 50 Shades Of Grey!
In a recent interview, the Black Mass actress dished about playing Anastasia Steele in the controversial film that broke box office records.
When signing up for the part, Miz Johnson shared that in order to make the protagonist with a naughty side more relatable she said that HUMOR was key. LOLz!

She explained:
“I needed Anastasia to be funny. If you can’t laugh during a movie like that, you’re f—–. Literally. You need to have something that everyone can relate to.”
Fair point! This may shock you but the 26-year-old isn’t a stranger to the comedy world. In 2012, she ad-libbed with Jason Segel for a scene in The Five Year Engagement. LOVES it.
She quipped:
“[I was] thinking about a girl who is pretty vapid. What would matter to her? I said something about wearing his Crocs.”
Fierce!
With her vast array of talents, we shouldn’t be shocked that the romance film’s director had nothing but gush-worthy things to say about Dakota!
Sam Taylor-Johnson shared:
“There had to be a sense of wide-eyed, excitable curiosity, but grounded in a worldliness. She had to have an inner strength that would carry her through the darkest of moments. I knew straightaway that Dakota was the girl.”
Yasss! We just can’t believe we have to wait until 2017 for 50 Shades Darker.
Bummer.
