Derek Hough and Amber Riley once again proved they’re the team to beat on DWTS after a nearly perfect performance this week!
But it came this close to not happening at all!
The Emmy-winning booty shaker injured his back in 2012 while dancing with Shawn Johnson, and apparently he re-aggravated while rehearsing with Amber!
Derek had to be medically cleared before hitting the dance floor this week, and things were so bad that Amber was ready to dance with Henry Byalikov if he wasn’t set to go!
He even posted a pic to Twitter of him having his back, um, worked on, and wrote:
“This is happening … Ouch !”
Um, ouch is right!!
We have no idea what’s being injected in his back, but obviously it worked because we had NO idea he was even hurt based on his performance!
Hopefully he makes a full recovery and is 100% for next week!
