Dancing With The Stars Sends Home Its First Celeb -- So Who Got Cut??

dwts recap week2
Well we could’ve called this one…
Dancing With The Stars has only just started, and things are already looking rough. Not only has Heather Morris lost her dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, due to a bad calf injury, but one contestant seemed destined to go home after failing to deliver both this week and last week.

While most of the teams were able to pull together decent routines, there weren’t any numbers that particularly wowed us. Be sure to ch-ch-check out the good, the bad, and the downright awful choreographed numbers for yourself (below). Oh, and we’ll let you know who got the boot too!
This Week’s Standouts
We’re not entirely sure how Normani Kordei is (emotionally and physically) pulling off touring in Asia and competing on DWTS, but homegirl is slaying nevertheless. It seems it was a good idea to have Valentin Chmerkvoskiy tour around with Fifth Harmony, as he and Normani more than nailed their cha-cha. They walked away with a score of 32.

Surprisingly, NFL star Rashad Jennings is still killing it as he and partner Emma Slater rocked their Viennese waltz. They also got a score of 32.

Despite losing her partner to an injury, Miz Morris rallied and pulled off a hip hop inspired jive with fill-in partner Alan Bersten. While most of the judges liked the routine, Len Goodman was underwhelmed by the number and gave them only a six. The twosome walked away with a score of 30.

The #Strugglebus Contestants
Once again, Mr.T, Chris Kattan, and Charo all fell below the mark as they all danced pretty terribly. Although, the Saturday Night Live alum’s sob story about not being able to physically move as much anymore due to a previous back surgery tugged at our heartstrings.
Still, all of their routines (below) were brutal to watch.

However, while David Ross didn’t blow the judges away, the effort he put into his cha-cha with Lindsay Arnold was definitely charming. However, they still walked away with a score of 28.
Say Goodbye To…
Sadly, Kattan’s tragic surgery story wasn’t enough to save him as he was sent home over Charo. On his loss, the funnyman noted:

“She was amazing. She was an amazing inspiration, and I couldn’t have done this without her… I wish that my surgery ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ all of that ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ was noted before, but it wasn’t, and that’s OK. I had an incredible time, an incredible time.”

Sounds like someone thinks they should’ve been in the game a little longer. Unfortunately, not everyone agreed.
