Dave Grohl's Wife Was 'Shocked' By Baby News - But His 'Hurtful' Behavior Isn't New

The more we hear about Dave Grohl‘s picture perfect marriage, the more we realize it was a figment of our collective imaginations.

The Foo Fighters frontman may have seemed like the perfect family man, great dad and husband. Sadly, it turns out, he was anything but. Dave admitted last week he not only had been cheating on his wife Jordyn Blum, he’s just gone full Tristan and welcomed a baby with another woman. Oof.

The news had us rewinding some things in our head, trying to figure out how long Jordyn has known — and therefore how long their marriage has been in disarray…

Well, a new source close to the woman scorned is opening up about their friend. They told People Jordyn has known about the baby “for a while.” We’re guessing he came clean about coming not-so-clean once his mistress got pregnant. But while she didn’t find out from the social media announcement, it was still a huge blow when she did learn about it. The friend said:

“She was shocked when she found out about the baby. Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her.”

That’s great that she has some support — but maybe don’t compare them to “family” right now, yeah?

While the love child news was a shock, it sadly sounds like it was only a matter of time before she learned for sure that Dave had been unfaithful. The insider claimed:

“Dave’s flirty behavior has been a hurdle in their marriage. It’s been hurtful to Jordyn.”

That certainly is in line with what we’ve heard, speaking of lines. We’ve heard stories now of Dave chatting up girls in bars, hanging out at women’s apartments, even paying porn models’ bills. You know the Dave who cheated on all the incredible women he was lucky enough to be with back in the ’90s? It feels like that Dave didn’t magically go away when he got married to Jordyn in 2003.

Another source close to the couple opened up to the mag about the misconception by Dave’s fans:

“We keep reading over and over again how heartbroken everyone is because Dave was supposed to be the ‘good guy,’ the rockstar that didn’t have to do those rockstar things. And people are crazy about the guy, but there is a rockstar side.”

That insider notes how Dave and Jordyn “felt like an opposites attract type of [relationship].” If that’s true she really was all about the family and always stayed loyal — no matter what Dave thought about some tennis instructor.
