David and Victoria Beckham are not on good terms with their son Brooklyn right now, but that hasn’t stopped them from sending him love on his birthday. The question is, how will he receive it??
Brooklyn turned 27 on Wednesday, and his estranged parents were quick to wish him well via Instagram Story posts. Marking the occasion, the soccer star shared a photo of the parents with a little Brooklyn in the pool, writing:
“27 today. Happy birthday Bust. We love you x”
He also shared another black-and-white pic of just him with a slightly older Brooklyn, adding:
“Happy Birthday Bust
Love you x”

Innerestingly, David neglected to tag Brooklyn, but he did tag the Spice Girls alum. That’s likely because the birthday boy blocked them over the holidays!
Vicky also shared the same pool shot, writing:
“Happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much
She followed up with a photo of her carrying her young son, noting:
“Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn, I love you so much

These posts come after reports claimed Brooklyn asked his parents to stop contacting him directly during their feud and to instead get in touch via his lawyer. He also begged them to cut it out with the public social media posts about him! So, as sweet as these messages may be, it’s kinda shady AF! Feels a little performative — especially if it’s not what their son even wants! They just risk pissing him off more on his birthday! Sigh.
Like, on one hand, they’re his parents and probably want him to know they love him and think about him, but on the other hand, he has explicitly asked for no contact and no public social media posts. And they just disrespected both requests… ON his birthday!
