Demi Lovato is a woman reborn!
The Sober singer’s musical comeback is in full swing right now, following two back-to-back standout performances at this year’s Super Bowl and Grammys. As you’ll likely recall, those were the starlet’s first live sets since suffering a near-fatal drug overdose in 2018 and she recently got a new tattoo to commemorate just how far she’s come since then.

Taking to her Instagram account, the 27-year-old revealed the back story behind her new ink! She began:
“I recently went dark on social media in preparation for my Grammy and Super Bowl performances but while I was off socials I got this incredibly meaningful tattoo done by @alessandro_capozzi. Getting tatted by him was an experience I’ve never had before.. no idea what I was going to get done, I told him about my life and where I was at in that moment and we created a combination on images that best symbolized the spiritual awakening I was having.”
The Anyone songstress continued:
“Having a fallen angel being lifted by 3, pure, angelic doves (the Holy trinity) as her inner light is being guided by a higher consciousness, and the disintegration of her dark wings was representing the darkness I was shedding. Alessandro – you are extremely talented and I can’t wait for more!! Thank you for this special experience.. the only bummer is I can’t physically see this amazing artwork because it’s on my back! Haha. Also shout out to @scooterbraun for introducing us! ??? ps. I still can’t believe how life like this looks and it healed amazing as well ??????”

Wow. Incredible!! Not to mention, the message behind it all feels so on brand with Demi’s current state of mind and plans for her future. It looks painful but judging by her remarks, it was oh so worth it! And kudos for her for keeping it hidden for as long as she did since the tattooer actually posted about it back in December.
The artist himself, Alessandro Capozzi, couldn’t help but share his gratitude with Lovato as well and commented back on her photo with love! He wrote:
“Thank you so much Demi. I am so happy to hear that it was an amazing experience for you. You are an incredible human. I could see you went through a lot and how that shaped you into becoming such a confident and strong woman. As I already told you, I love your energy. Cannot wait to work again with you.”

With a renewed sense of purpose, a healthy and sober lifestyle, new music AND a new show on the way, everything is turning up Demi right now. As we reported, the Confident crooner will be hosting the 10-episode talk show series titled Pillow Talk With Demi Lovato on Quibi (a mobile streaming platform) this April. And if we’re lucky, new music will debut any day now, too!
