We’re confident this is gonna hurt her brand…
As you may remember, Lovatics turned into lunatics last November when it was reported that Demi Lovato allegedly ripped off some Sleigh Bells songs for her album Confident.
While the 24-year-old’s team initially confirmed that Demi only wrote the top line of her 2015 bonus track Stars and didn’t actually steal anything from the musical duo’s 2010 single Infinity Guitars… SB’s Alexis Krauss and Derek Edward Miller still think differently to this day.

In fact, they just went ahead with their copyright lawsuit against Demetria and her labels Island Records and Universal Music Group on Monday!!
According to the lawsuit, Sleigh Bells believes their songs are, at best, “substantially similar,” and, at worst, “virtually identical,” so now they’re looking for at least $150,000 in damages!
To be honest, Demi’s lucky they’re only suing for Infinity Guitars… because they also claimed she stole from a second song called Riot Rhythm when this all started!
.@ddlovato Demi Lovato flattered you guys sampled Infinity Guitars & Riot Rhythm for “Stars” but we were not contacted. Gotta clear those.
